About Us

SuperFun was created and is operated by Tom Simon, Neil Nimrichter and Dale Barber. We are friends from college; Tom and Neil graduated from Ohio University with degrees in Adventure Recreation, Dale with a B.S. in Environmental Science. All of us have gained a significant amount of experience post graduation with various outdoor, environmental and public agencies in a variety of wilderness settings. Matt Westbrook is the newest member of the SuperFun team. He is another Adventure Recreation alumni and is presently working on a Masters Degree from Ohio University in the education field. Welcome Matt!!

SuperFun is a private, commercial outfitter operating out of Assateague Island NationalSeashore. We rent kayaks and lead many different eco tours. We also lead professionally guided, low
impact tours of natural and wild areas all over the Delmarva peninsula. We offer a variety of kayak tours and services ranging from short day trips to rugged multi-day excursions. We also rent kayaks and gear for
visitors in the Ocean City/Assateague area. We strictly adhere to Leave No Trace ethics on every tour we lead. SuperFun Eco Tours strives to provide its customers with a completely unique and special
experience.

SuperFun guides are expert naturalists that help visitors create personal connections to very special places. We care about the wild places we visit and believe that sharing them with others will
eventually promote stewardship of natural areas. We are fascinated by the natural world and love working (and playing) outside. We are outdoor enthusiasts, adventure seekers, stewards of natural places and we live life to the fullest. We believe people should have fun outside and experience nature’s wonders in new and exciting ways.
